Bio Log Privacy Policy

Bio Log Peptide Journal is designed for personal tracking, organization, and education. The app does not prescribe, diagnose, recommend dose changes, or advise what peptide to use.

Data Stored On Device

Your peptide profiles, vial details, logs, labs, side effects, notes, photos, reminders, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple platform storage. Bio Log does not require an account.

Data Sent To Services

Bio Log does not send your journal data to an AI service unless you open Bio Log AI, enter or choose a question, and grant permission in the app.

If you allow Bio Log AI data sharing, the app sends your question and a relevant journal summary to the Bio Log backend and OpenAI to generate a response. This may include peptide names, categories, status, vial values, diluent volume, concentration or label notes entered by the user, dose defaults, user-entered draw values, remaining amount, recent dose logs, logged times, sites, side-effect text, notes, recent lab names, values, reference ranges, and side-effect entries.

Bio Log AI does not automatically attach photos, PDFs, exported files, Face ID data, full device data, contacts, location, or advertising identifiers. You can revoke AI data-sharing permission in the app settings.

The Bio Log backend uses the submitted AI request only to call OpenAI and return an answer to the app. Bio Log does not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Anonymous App Analytics

Bio Log may collect privacy-preserving app usage analytics with PostHog to understand app opens, screen views, paywall views, purchase flow status, and feature usage. These analytics use an anonymous app install identifier and do not include peptide names, dose amounts, syringe units, injection sites, side effects, notes, lab values, photos, PDFs, exported files, or AI question text.

You can turn off anonymous app analytics in Bio Log settings.

Purchases

Bio Log Membership Monthly subscriptions are processed by Apple using StoreKit. Payment details are handled by Apple. Bio Log checks subscription status on device to unlock app access.

Notifications

Local reminders are scheduled on device. Notification content can be kept discreet inside the app settings.

Account & Sign in with Apple

Creating a Bio Log account is optional and is only needed for cloud features such as referrals, guest passes, and cross-device sync. When you sign in with Apple, Apple returns an app-specific user identifier; if you choose to share it, also your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address). We use that information only to create and sign you into your Bio Log account. We store the account identifier and the profile record on Supabase (our backend provider). We do not receive your Apple ID password.

Referrals & Guest Passes

If you take part in the referral / VIP Guest Pass program, we store referral records on Supabase: the referral code relationship between the inviter and the invited account, the invite code that was claimed, whether and when the invited friend redeemed their Apple offer code, whether and when the inviter's bonus days were granted, and the reward mode. We use this only to operate the referral program, prevent abuse, and show you the status of your own referrals.

App Store Transaction Data

To confirm a guest pass redemption we receive Apple's App Store Server Notifications and the signed transaction the app sends us. We process the transaction identifier, original transaction identifier, product identifier, offer type, Apple's app account token when present, and the signed payload Apple provides. We store the App Store notification payload and the transaction identifiers so a redemption can be reconciled, retried after an outage, and protected against duplicate rewards. We use this data only to grant the referral reward you earned and to prevent fraud. We do not receive your payment card details, and we do not use purchase data for advertising.

Data Retention

Account and referral records are kept for as long as your Bio Log account exists. App Store event records (including the full notification payload and transaction identifiers) are kept only as long as needed to reconcile the referral, and are redacted or deleted when you delete your account. When you delete your account, we clear the direct link between App Store transactions and your account. Redacted, anonymized App Store event audit rows that no longer contain your account identifier, transaction identifier, or payload are retained for at most 90 days and then purged. Anonymous abuse-prevention and quota records contain only keyed pseudonyms and bounded event/outcome fields, contain no raw account identifier, IP address, device identifier, transaction identifier, payload, or offer code, and are retained for at most 180 days. If you play the role of inviter, we may retain a redacted referral record after account deletion so a friend's already-granted reward is not revoked.

Account Deletion

You can delete your Bio Log account inside the app at any time (Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your profile, referral code, and guest pass history from our backend and unlinks your Apple sign-in identifier. App Store transaction identifiers and notification payloads associated with your account are redacted or deleted as described under Data Retention; anonymous keyed abuse/quota evidence may remain for up to 180 days. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. It does not delete journal entries, doses, labs, notes, or photos stored on your device, and it does not cancel an App Store subscription — you must cancel that separately in the App Store.

Service Providers

We share the minimum data needed with: Apple (App Store purchases, offer code redemption, Sign in with Apple), Supabase (account, referral, and App Store event storage), OpenAI (only when you use Bio Log AI and grant permission), and PostHog (anonymous app analytics, if enabled). These service providers are required to protect personal data to the same or an equivalent standard described in this policy and applicable law. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

No Tracking Or Advertising

Bio Log does not use third-party advertising and does not track you across apps or websites.
